Things To Do

Outdoor Adventures

St. Croix is a serious playground for the outdoor enthusiast. Whether you are into birdwatching or hiking or snorkeling and diving, we can help point you in the right direction.

Right at the camp, we offer guided hikes to beautiful places as well as workshops in ancestral skills such as stone tool-making and basket-weaving for those who want to learn something new while having fun and working materials from the island with their own hands. Whether you simply want to dive into the island on a different level, or if you want to learn a skill that will be with you for the rest of your life, we are happy to cater our workshops to suit the wants and needs of our guests. To see our schedule and workshop descriptions, please see our workshops page.

You can also rent mountain bikes at the camp. We are only a 10 minute bike ride from Scenic Road, which is a dirt road that follows the ridges of the rainforest hills for miles, giving you stunning views! Or you can ride down the road to the beach and take the scenic coastal road along the beautiful West End. Serious bikers can even consider biking the entire island, which is about 28 miles across. You may want to reserve a bike beforehand, as we have a limited amount. Contact us for our rates.

There are also a number of independent minded outfitters interested in helping you get the most out of your play time. We’ve prepared a list of some of the very best guides and instructors our island has to offer. We’re always adding services to this page… If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please ask us!
